Dhaka, Mar 22: Hello and welcome to the final match of what has been an extremely exciting Asia Cup. Bangladesh have fought against all odds to make it this far and in their journey have surprised some big teams. Today they are up against another formidable outfit and one that they lost to in the league stage, Pakistan.
Misbah and his men will be eager to break Bangladesh's good run of form and will surely want to repeat what they did in the league stages with their opponenents. Bangladesh on the other hand will be desperate to finally win a major cricket tournament.
The hosts, Bangladesh, have surprised everyone by pipping bigger team to make it to the final. Their confidence is at an all-time high but they will be facing a team against whom they lost earlier in the tournament. Both sides have a lot going for them and Vishal, taking sides with Pakistan, and Shashreek, who is backing Bangladesh, will answer each other's questions, some of which are probably on your mind too.
Pitch report: The pitch looks like the same as the one that hosted the match between Pakistan and India. There could be a lot of runs in it but Sunil Gavaskar thinks the pressure of a final may get to the players and hence the game might just not be a high scoring affair.
Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to field
Mushfiqur: It looks like a good track to bat on but we would like to continue in the same way and bowl first. We have never played a final against Pakistan so they will be under pressure. We just need to enjoy the moment since we don't often get into the final. The team is exactly the same.
Misbah: We are playing the final after 12 years. This is a good chance for us to grab it. The pressure will be on the home team so we just need to keep doing what we have done until now. Sarfraz Ahmed comes in for Wahab Riaz.
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tamim Iqbal, Nazimuddin, Jahurul Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim(w/c), Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Mahmudullah, Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Shahadat Hossain, Nazmul Hossain
Pakistan (Playing XI): Mohammad Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Umar Akmal, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Hammad Azam, Misbah-ul-Haq(c), Sarfraz Ahmed(w), Saeed Ajmal, Aizaz Cheema, Umar Gul.
