Melbourne, Jun 8: Australia have suffered a major setback ahead of their white-ball tour of Bangladesh, with captain Mitchell Marsh, opener Travis Head and spinner Tanveer Sangha unavailable for all or part of the series.
Marsh has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series due to an ankle injury, while Sangha will miss the entire tour after sustaining a hamstring injury during the recent ODI series against Pakistan.
Head has been granted personal leave and will not participate in either the ODI or T20I leg of the Bangladesh tour as he prepares for a busy international schedule that includes upcoming Test assignments.

With Marsh unavailable for the ODI series, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis will captain Australia in the 50-over matches, having also led the side during recent fixtures against Pakistan.
Australia have named Todd Murphy, Oliver Peake and Matt Short as replacements for Marsh, Head and Sangha in the ODI squad.
Australia selector Tony Dodemaide confirmed Sangha’s injury and said Marsh would join the squad in Dhaka to continue his recovery before the T20I series.
“We were hopeful Mitch Marsh would be available for the Bangladesh ODI series; however, he is still returning to full fitness from an ankle injury. Mitch will join the group in Dhaka and begin preparations for the T20I series,” Dodemaide said.
He added that Head had been granted personal leave and would return for Australia’s upcoming Test commitments.
