Bantwal, Jun 5: A couple had a narrow escape after the car they were travelling in met with an accident near Alira in Mani on the Mangaluru-Uppinangady National Highway in the early hours of Friday.
According to reports, a Maruti 800 car lost control and overturned into a roadside drain.
The vehicle suffered damage in the accident.
The couple travelling in the car fortunately escaped a major tragedy and sustained only minor injuries, sources said.
