Mangaluru: Father Muller to host a two-day national seminar cum workshop from Jun 2

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a constituent unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, is organizing a two-day national seminar cum workshop on ‘Innovative Practices in Clinical Training and Industry Practices – 2026 (IPCTIP 2026)’ on June 2 and 3 at its Deralakatte campus, Mangaluru. A pre-workshop session will be conducted on June 1.

The seminar aims to bridge classroom learning with real-world healthcare and pharmaceutical industry practices by bringing together academicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, industry experts, and students from across the country. The event focuses on strengthening practical exposure, clinical training, research orientation, pharmacovigilance, industry readiness, and innovative healthcare practices.

The programme is being organized under the guidance of Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, director, FMCI; Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, administrator, FMCOPS; and Dr Satish S, principal, FMCOPS.

The inaugural ceremony will be held on June 2. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, director, FMCI, will preside over the function. The seminar will be inaugurated by, Dr Saleemulla Khan, professor and principal, P A College of Pharmacy, who will grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the inaugural address.

The workshop will feature expert sessions and hands-on training by eminent academicians and industry professionals on emerging areas such as integrative therapeutic sciences, artificial intelligence in pharmacovigilance, clinical trials, good dispensing practices, emergency care skills, molecular biology applications, zebrafish models in neurodegenerative research, phytochemical techniques, and career preparedness in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Scientific competitions including poster presentation, oral presentation, and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) competition will also be conducted to encourage research aptitude and innovation among participants. Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded for the best presentations.

The seminar is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, PharmD scholars, faculty members, research scholars, healthcare professionals, and participants from pharmacy, nursing, life sciences, allied health sciences, ayurveda, homeopathy, and other healthcare disciplines.
