Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor: The Silent Saviour’ unveils intense new posters ahead of release

Mumbai, Apr 27: New posters of the upcoming film Governor: The Silent Saviour starring Manoj Bajpayee were revealed on Monday, shortly after the actor’s birthday, building anticipation for the political drama.

Taking to Instagram, Bajpayee shared the posters in collaboration with the film’s team, hinting at a gripping storyline centered around a lone figure battling a national crisis. The caption emphasized the film’s theme of resilience and leadership during turbulent times.

The latest visuals offer a deeper look into the film’s intense narrative and also feature Adah Sharma. Alongside striking character reveals, the posters include powerful taglines such as “Ab Bari Meri Hai,” “I Will Not Let India Fail,” and “India Is On The Verge Of Bankruptcy, He Saw It Coming,” suggesting a high-stakes storyline.

The film is said to draw inspiration from the life of S. Venkitaramanan, who served as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India during the country’s 1991 economic crisis. However, the makers have not officially confirmed this connection.

Presented by Sunshine Pictures, the project is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar. The film is co-produced by Aashin A. Shah and written by Suvendu Bhattacharyjee, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani, and Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

The music is composed by Amit Trivedi with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.

Governor: The Silent Saviour is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12, 2026.
