Mumbai, Aug 22: The teaser of the upcoming action-comedy film Vibe, starring Kunal Kemmu, Sparsh Shrivastava and Preity G Zinta, was unveiled on Friday, offering a glimpse into a story about two ordinary friends who are unexpectedly drawn into a dangerous mission to protect the country.
Kemmu plays Hardik, while Shrivastava portrays Bugs. The teaser introduces the two as unlikely heroes who are neither trained nor prepared for the mission that suddenly lands in their hands.
As the situation escalates, Hardik and Bugs find themselves caught up in a crisis far bigger than they had anticipated. The film combines action, comedy and chaos as the duo attempt to deal with circumstances beyond their experience.
Preity G Zinta appears in a key role as a confident woman who appears to be leading the operation. Her character is shown directing Hardik and Bugs as they become increasingly involved in the mission.
Written and directed by Kunal Kemmu, Vibe is produced by Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under the Drongo Films banner. The cast also features debutant Vanshika Dhir, along with Dinesh Lal Yadav and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles.
The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18.
Vibe marks Kemmu's latest directorial venture after his 2024 comedy-thriller Madgaon Express, which marked his directorial debut and was released on March 22, 2024.
Kemmu also recently hosted the reality show Alliance, in which 16 contestants were divided into four teams and competed in challenges involving strategy and social skills.
Meanwhile, Preity G Zinta is currently appearing in Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol in the lead role. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced under Aamir Khan Productions, the film also features Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh.
Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, Batwara 1947 follows a family whose lives are transformed as violence, fear and forced migration affect communities that had previously lived together.
