Mumbai, Apr 25: The trailer of KD: The Devil, which sparked wide attention for its action-packed visuals and graphic violence, has been taken down from official channels after it was found to contain uncertified content, the makers said.
Putting speculation over a cyberattack or technical glitch to rest, KVN Productions said the trailer had been inadvertently released with material that had not cleared the certification process.

“The trailer of KD: The Devil released on YouTube inadvertently included certain uncertified content during certification process. We have therefore taken down the trailer and will be uploading a revised version shortly, in compliance with certification guidelines,” the production house said in a statement on X.
The makers also expressed regret over the oversight and said they remain committed to adhering to certification norms.
The trailer had garnered millions of views on social media and generated buzz over its scale, star cast and violent visuals, though some viewers had criticised its graphic content.
The removal of the trailer triggered concern and criticism online, with some users questioning the studio’s handling of recent controversies linked to its projects.
Despite the backlash, anticipation remains high for the revised trailer and the film’s release.
Directed by Prem, KD: The Devil stars Dhruva Sarja in the lead along with Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi.
The pan-India action film is scheduled for theatrical release on April 30, 2026.
