Mangaluru, Apr 2: In a major boost to international connectivity, Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of special twice-weekly flights between Kuwait and Mangaluru via Dammam, with services set to commence from April 8.
Jazeera Airways on Wednesday announced the launch of four new destinations in India—Calicut, Tiruchirappalli, Mangaluru, and Kannur—via Dammam Airport in Saudi Arabia.
According to the airline, flights to Mangaluru will operate on Mondays and Thursdays from April 9. The journey duration will be approximately six hours. Flight J9 3417 will depart Kuwait at 8:40 am local time and arrive in Mangaluru at 4:10 pm via Dammam. The return flight, J9 3418, will depart Mangaluru at 4:55 pm IST and reach Kuwait at 7:40 pm local time.

Jazeera Airways had earlier operated special flights to Mangaluru during the Covid period. Despite the prevailing war situation in the Middle East, the airline has decided to resume services between Kuwait and Mangaluru.
CEO Barathan Pasupathi said flights to Calicut will operate twice weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays starting April 8, while Tiruchirappalli services will run on Sundays and Tuesdays from April 7. Kannur flights will begin on April 14, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays.
He noted that since resuming operations to India on March 20, the airline has carried more than 11,000 passengers. The expansion allows travellers—particularly from southern India—to fly closer to their home cities while supporting essential travel.
He added that the new routes expand Jazeera Airways’ India network to 12 destinations, complementing existing services to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram, and helping facilitate travel for the large Indian community in Kuwait.
