Puttur: New vicar general felicitated at Nelyadi St Alphonsa Shrine

Puttur, Mar 30: Fr Dr Mani Veluthedath Parambil, who has been appointed as the new Vicar General of the Beltangady diocese, was felicitated by the parishioners of St Alphonsa Shrine, Nelyadi.

A native of Udene village, Fr Mani Veluthedath Parambil holds a doctorate degree from the renowned Demisiano University in Rome. He has rendered his priestly services at various churches including Jadkal and Mudoor in Kundapur taluk, and in Beltangady, Bangady, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Kutrapady, Kankanady in Dakshina Kannada district, as well as Hoskote in Kodagu district.

Speaking on the occasion, parish priest of St Alphonsa Shrine, Nelyadi, Fr Shaji Mathew, said that the elevation of Fr Mani Veluthedath Parambil, who possesses active service spirit and administrative ability, would significantly contribute to the development of the Beltangady diocese.

Members of the administrative committee including Johnson, Rajesh, Reji Joy, and Sr Liz Mathew conducted the felicitation programme. The event was compered by Suresh.

On the occasion, the newly appointed vicar general was extended greetings and wished blessings.
