Kundapur: Accused gets two years in dowry harassment case

Kundapur, Mar 26: The charges against Shashikant Shetty (44), a resident of Akkunje in Siddapur village, who was accused of subjecting his wife to dowry harassment, have been proven after 10 years, following his recent arrest by the police.

The Kundapur court has sentenced him to two years of imprisonment for dowry harassment.

The accused, who had been absconding, was arrested on March 1 in West Bengal by the Kundapur Rural police.

A case had been registered at the Kundapur Rural police station based on a complaint filed by his wife.
