Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ roars at box office; Day 3 collections cross Rs 14 crore

Mumbai, Jan 25: Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Border 2’ continues its strong run at the box office since its release, benefiting significantly from its Republic Day week release. After posting impressive numbers in its first two days, the war drama-maintained momentum on its first Sunday as well.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 14.24 crore on Day 3 (Sunday) in India as of the latest estimates. The final figures for the day are expected to rise further by the end of the night.

The film opened to a robust Rs 30 crore on Day 1, followed by an even stronger Rs 36.5 crore on Day 2, taking the three-day total to Rs 80.74 crore.

In terms of occupancy, Border 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 31.46 per cent on Sunday, January 25, 2026, indicating steady footfalls across theatres.

About the film

Border 2 is produced by Nidhi Dutta, daughter of filmmaker JP Dutt, who directed the iconic Border (1997). The film is directed by Anurag Singh and features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in lead roles.

The supporting cast includes Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, Paramvir Cheema, Anurag Arora and Vansh Bhardwaj, among others.

Like its predecessor, the film is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan War of 1971, but this time presents multiple stories of war heroes fighting on different fronts, offering a broader narrative canvas.

Border 2 hit theatres on January 23, 2026, and is expected to continue its strong run in the coming days.
