Mumbai, Nov 27: Bollywood icons came together on Wednesday to honour the memory of legendary actor Dharmendra at a heartfelt memorial service held in Mumbai. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were among the prominent attendees, joining a long list of industry stalwarts who arrived to pay tribute to the beloved star.

Salman Khan also made an early appearance at the venue, while Abhishek was accompanied by his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The gathering followed an emotional few days for the film fraternity, with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan having visited the crematorium on November 24 to bid their final goodbye.

Ahead of the ceremony, a widely circulated invitation described the event as a “Celebration of Life,” honouring Dharmendra’s journey from December 8, 1935, to November 24, 2025. Reports suggest that singer Sonu Nigam was invited to perform classic songs associated with the late superstar, making the evening a musical homage to his enduring legacy.

Throughout the week, an outpouring of support and condolences was seen at the Deol residence. Esteemed personalities including Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and producer Allu Aravind visited the family.

Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89, leaves behind an irreplaceable void in Indian cinema. He was just days away from celebrating his 90th birthday on December 8. His contributions, charm, and unforgettable performances continue to be celebrated by fans and colleagues alike.
