Mangaluru, Nov 15: Carmel School CBSE celebrated Children’s Day 2025 with great joy, enthusiasm, and heartfelt affection, honouring the spirit of childhood and paying tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. The programme was initially planned by Sr Rosevera, the principal, in collaboration with the teachers who executed their responsibilities with precision.
The celebration began with a warm and lively introduction by the masters of ceremony, teachers Venitha Machado and Vinitha Veigas who highlighted the significance of Children’s Day and Chacha Nehru’s deep fondness for children. A serene prayer service, led by Sister Supreetha and her team, set a reflective and peaceful tone for the day’s events.

The teachers presented a series of engaging and entertaining performances. A vibrant Welcome Act opened the celebration, followed by an energetic dance presented by the primary section teachers. A thoughtful skit on values enchanted the audience with a reflective message. A melodious Wishing Song was sung to all the children, adding warmth and affection to the atmosphere.
One of the major highlights of the event was the set of Spot Games, where, students actively and enthusiastically participated in multiple rounds of fun-filled activities such as tongue twisters, greetings in multiple languages and best ethnic dresses showcased excitement, and lively school spirit. The high school teachers performed a colourful and captivating dance that delighted everyone present.
Dr Sr Prem D’Souza addressed the gathering with inspiring and encouraging words, appreciating the students’ talents and reminding them of their unique potential as a part of the venet, awards were presented to the winners of Rangotsava Drawing competition, and certificates to academic toppers and students who displayed exemplary commitment by maintaining 100% attendance. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Cynthia, expressing gratitude to the managemement, teachers, staff, and students for contributing to the success of the celebration.
The event concluded with warm wishes from the teaching staff, reminding every child that they are cherished, valued, and deeply loved. The programme created beautiful memories and truly captured the joy and innocence of childhood.
