Overconfident child contestant sparks viral moment on KBC 17 kids’ edition

Mumbai, Oct 14: Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 recently featured a kids’ edition that drew attention not for the brilliance of its contestants, but for the overconfident attitude of one young participant.

Ishit Bhatt, a fifth-grade student from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, became the center of a viral moment for his slightly rude remarks and impatient behaviour towards Big B. Early in the episode, he interrupted Amitabh while explaining the rules, saying in Hindi, “Mere ko rules pata hai isliye aap mereko abhi rules samjhane mat baithna (I already know the rules, so you don’t need to explain them to me).”

During the quiz, Ishit insisted on locking his answers even before hearing all options. When faced with a tricky Ramayana-related question, he prompted Big B, saying, “Arre option daalo (Give me the options),” and later requested, “Sir ek kya uss mein chaar lock lagado, lekin lock karo (Sir, put not just one but four locks on it, but lock it).”

After failing to answer the question correctly, Amitabh remarked, “Kabhi kabhi bachhe overconfidence mein galti kar dete hai (Sometimes children make mistakes due to overconfidence).” Ishit eventually walked away without winning any prize money.

The clip has gone viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions. While some viewers criticized his tone and stressed the importance of respect towards elders, others felt the child was simply overwhelmed by the situation.

The show, which has also been facing declining TRP ratings, continues to draw attention for its blend of entertainment, talent, and unexpected viral moments.
