Gold Coast, Oct 11: Australian police officer Jade Henderson has set a stunning new world record by completing 733 pull-ups in one hour, breaking a nearly decade-old record and showcasing exceptional strength and endurance, according to Guinness World Records.

The record-breaking feat took place on August 22 at the Gold Coast, averaging over 12 pull-ups per minute. Henderson surpassed the previous record of 725 pull-ups, set by fellow Australian Eva Clarke in 2016.

Speaking about her achievement, the 32-year-old officer said she hoped her success would inspire others to push beyond their limits. “I decided to start training for the pull-up world record because I liked the idea of doing something nobody else has ever done,” Henderson said. “I wanted to see what my mind and body were capable of.”

Originally, Henderson had planned to attempt the 24-hour pull-up record, currently held by Olivia Vinson with 7,079 pull-ups, but a severe bicep injury during training forced her to change course. “I tore my bicep tendon and muscle after doing 3,500 pull-ups in 12 hours,” she recalled. “After six weeks of rest, I decided to go for the one-hour record instead.”

Despite the setback, Henderson’s determination paid off. “I didn’t have a set number in mind; I just wanted to beat the previous record,” she said. “I gave it everything I had, and in that moment, I don’t think I could have done any better.”

Her remarkable accomplishment has earned her a place in the Guinness World Records and admiration from around the world for her perseverance and strength.
