Bengaluru, Sep 29: In a remarkable achievement, Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has supplied a record-breaking 5,000 metric tonnes of its popular Nandini Ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for preparing the sacred Tirupati Laddu prasadam over the past year.
Once rejected by TTD in earlier years, Nandini Ghee has now become the preferred choice for the iconic laddu served to millions of devotees at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateshwara.

KMF managing director Shivaswamy shared that the supply to Tirumala began in December 2024. “We have been supplying ghee in huge quantities, maintaining freshness and purity, which has earned us recognition across the country and even overseas,” he said.
He added that since December last year, KMF has already supplied 5,000 MT of ghee, recording a 30% growth rate compared to the previous year. The surge in demand from TTD has been the key driver of this growth.
“TTD has procured ghee from KMF through tenders on three occasions. This year alone, we have supplied 4,281 MT of ghee, and now a fresh tender has been issued for another 2,000 MT for the next six months. We are fully prepared to meet the demand,” Shivaswamy informed.
The rising demand for Nandini’s pure cow ghee for the sacred laddu prasadam has been a matter of pride for Karnataka, with KMF ensuring uninterrupted supply without any quality issues or delays.
