Deauville, Sep 28: Indian golfer Pranavi Urs delivered a brilliant final round at the Ladies Open de France, firing a 6-under 65 to finish tied for fifth at the Golf Barrière de Deauville. Her final-day surge was three strokes better than her second round and gives her a major confidence boost ahead of the upcoming Women’s Indian Open.
Pranavi’s round was marked by an explosive start. She eagled the second hole, followed by birdies on the fourth and fifth to go 4-under early. Despite bogeys on the seventh and ninth, she made the turn at 2-under. She maintained composure on the back nine with birdies on the 10th, 13th, 16th, and 17th, finishing at 10-under overall.
Meanwhile, fellow Indian Diksha Dagar closed with an even-par 71, ending the event tied for 46th at 1-under. She had birdies on holes 2, 4, and 12 but offset them with bogeys on the 8th, 11th, and 17th.

The tournament was won by Canadian teenager Anna Huang, who clinched her second straight title with a flawless 6-under 65, matching Pranavi's final round. Huang finished at 16-under for the tournament, sealing victory with birdies on six holes including a strong finish on the 18th.
Germany’s Helen Briem and South Africa’s Casandra Alexander shared second at 14-under, both carding 66s. Brianna Navarrosa took solo fourth at 11-under, while Urs joined Alessia Nobilio and Kirsten Rudgeley in a tie for fifth.
With this strong finish, Pranavi heads into the Women’s Indian Open, scheduled from October 9 to 12 at DLF Golf and Country Club, with solid momentum. The LET now takes a short break before the tour resumes in India.
