Puttur, Sep 28: Tilakananda Poojary alias Prashanth Poojary (33), a resident of Arbi Mane, Bajattur village in Uppinangady, has died under suspicious circumstances in Dubai. His mortal remains arrived in his native village on September 27.
Prashanth, who was an entrepreneur in Dubai, had died under mysterious circumstances about a week ago.
Legal hurdles had delayed the repatriation of his body to India. Responding to the situation, Samad Birali from Dakshina Kannada and a group of youths prepared the required documents, secured the permission of the Dubai government, and ensured that the mortal remains were sent to India.
On Saturday morning, the body arrived at the airport and was later brought to Bajattur. The deceased is survived by his father, mother, brother, and sister.
