Udupi, Aug 11: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will host “Aati da Tulu Parba” on August 13, a vibrant celebration dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Tulunadu.
The festival will bring alive the region’s traditions, music, dance, and cuisine, providing an immersive experience for attendees.
The event will feature a variety of segments highlighting the essence of Karnataka’s Tulu-speaking community.




Event Highlights:

Drawing Competition – Tulu Rang: Open to students from Grades 8–10 (Junior) and PUC/Degree (Senior), featuring artworks inspired by Tulu culture.

Tulu Folk Group Dance Competition – Tulu Nalike: Junior and Senior teams will perform traditional group dances, showcasing Tulunadu’s rhythmic folk heritage.

Tulu Isiri & Fashion Show: Groups of 6–12 participants will present a blend of traditional and contemporary Tulu attire, celebrating the evolving identity of Tulu fashion.

Yakshagana Performance – Koti Chennayya: A captivating theatrical rendition of the legendary Tulu heroes.

Tulu Music Concert – Aati Kuttu: A vibrant fusion of traditional Tulu music with rock and pop influences.

Cultural Stalls: Visitors can explore Tulu crafts, artefacts, and traditional cuisine from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The cultural extravaganza will be held from 9:30 am to 6 pm at Dr T M A Pai Hall, Manipal. The event is open to students, local residents, and international visitors. It aligns with MAHE’s commitment to fostering cultural connections and promoting appreciation for regional heritage.
