Mangaluru: Feast of St Ann and Joachim celebrated with fervour at St Ann's School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 1: The feast of St Ann and Joachim, the grandparents of Jesus Christ, was celebrated with deep devotion and joy by the students of class 10A on Monday, July 28, at St Ann's School auditorium. The programme was held as part of their class activity and was presided over by headmistress Sr Ruby D’Souza AC.

The celebration served as a tribute to the cherished roles of grandparents and senior citizens in the family. A meaningful skit titled The Wise Old Man, enacted by the boys, set the tone for the day by shedding light on the wisdom that comes with age.

A gripping performance adapted from Mother’s Day brought attention to the often-overlooked contributions of mothers in the family, portrayed with emotion and skill by a talented cast of students.

The programme was further enlivened by two vibrant dance performances, adding colour and energy to the event.

In a fitting conclusion, a beautiful tableau portrayed the virtues of St Ann—love, faith, hope, prudence, nurturing, intercession, and sacrifice—like the many colours of a rainbow, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The event was efficiently compered by Anas Pasha and Sawsan, who guided the proceedings with poise.
