Mangaluru: DC Mullai Muhilan visits rain-affected Pumpwell, Kettikal areas

Mangaluru, June 17: Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan visited Pumpwell and Kettikal in the city on Tuesday to assess the rain-related issues in these areas.

At Pumpwell, he inspected the spot where waterlogging has become a recurring problem during heavy rains. He instructed Mangaluru City Corporation officials to address the technical issues obstructing the smooth flow of water in the Raja canal to resolve the situation.

At Kettikal, the DC directed the National Highways Authority of India officials to immediately implement technical solutions to prevent further landslides and ensure smooth traffic flow on the national highway.

Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner Ravichandra Nayak, National Highways Authority of India project director Abdulla Javed, and other officials were present during the visit.
