New Delhi, Jun 6: Aditya Srivastava, a native of Lucknow and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, topped the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023, securing All India Rank 1 in the results. Aditya’s journey from engineering to public service has inspired thousands across the country.

An academically bright student, Aditya completed his schooling at CMS Aliganj, Lucknow, scoring 95%, and later pursued a dual degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. After working at Goldman Sachs, he realised that personal fulfilment lay not in corporate success, but in serving the nation through the civil services.

Aditya made a conscious choice to switch careers, driven by a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference. He views the civil services not merely as a job, but as a platform to bring about grassroots change. His inclination towards experimentation, innovation, and impact within the system made the IAS an ideal choice.
