From IIT to India’s top civil servant: Aditya Srivastava’s remarkable rise to UPSC AIR 1

New Delhi, Jun 6: Aditya Srivastava, a native of Lucknow and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, topped the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023, securing All India Rank 1 in the results. Aditya’s journey from engineering to public service has inspired thousands across the country.

An academically bright student, Aditya completed his schooling at CMS Aliganj, Lucknow, scoring 95%, and later pursued a dual degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Aditya made a conscious choice to switch careers, driven by a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference.
