Mangaluru, Jun 4: St Agnes PU College organized a vibrant and meaningful orientation programme on June 2 at the college auditorium. The event served as a platform to introduce the college’s ethos, academic environment, and facilities to the freshers.
The programme began with invoking blessings from the Almighty. Raksha from the department of biology gracefully hosted the event and welcomed the dignitaries. The ceremony began with the dignified lighting of the lamp. The highlight of the students session was felicitation of toppers of I PUC annual exam 2024-25 by Sr Dr Maria Roopa joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions. Also sharing of their experience by our college topper Reewa Castelino - Science, Viola Risha Fernandes – Commerce and Pratheeksha N Rao – Arts.





























Sr Dr Maria Roopa congratulated the toppers and also encouraged the toppers to always strive for success and to work hard. Principal Sr Norine D’Souza in her address to the students familiarized them with college policies. Students attended classroom-level orientation sessions led by their respective class mentors.
An orientation video was screened for all attendees, offering a visual overview of campus life, academic programmes, and the various opportunities available to students at St Agnes PU College.
The parent session commenced with a warm welcome extended by Avitha, department of Humanities. As part of the parent session, the gathering was honoured by the presence of the chief guest, Dr Deepa Kothari, who delivered an insightful and motivational session for the parents, emphasizing the pivotal role they play in shaping their child's future and supporting them through their academic journey. Nirmala Priya D’Silva, parent of Shinelle Kenisha D’Silva from the SEBA batch (2023-2025) shared her experience on how the college helped her daughter to shine academically as well as inculcate values for life. Carol from the department of Mathematics gave a clear and informative demonstration of the college app.
To conclude the day’s activities, a special session was conducted by the Vividhya faculty for the first-year science students and their parents.
The parents of the hostilities were introduced to the rules and regulation of the hostel and amenities by Sr Sannidhi, the hostel warden. The programme commenced with a vote of thanks
The entire programme was coordinated by the convenors Avitha, Ashwin, Vijayalakshmi, and Raksha whose efforts ensured that both students and parents had an engaging and informative start to the new academic year.
