Udupi: Illegal cattle transport, beef trade foiled in Shiruru; one arrested

Udupi, Jun 3: In a significant operation in Kelapete Usmania Mohalla of Shiruru village, a man named Mohammad Sajid was found illegally transporting cattle and preparing to sell beef without official permission. Authorities discovered that he had unlawfully confined four head of cattle for meat trade.

Following the discovery, the Byndoor police registered a case under Crime No. 114/2025 as per Sections 7 and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2020.

The accused has been taken into custody and will be produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
