Kadaba: Youth killed as government bus rams into bike

Kadaba, May 26: A youth lost his life after a KSRTC bus rammed into his bike near Halestation on the Uppinangady–Subrahmanya state highway on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bishwajith (23), son of the late Sridhar Gowda and a resident of Uderi in Kodimbala village of Kadaba taluk.

Bishwajith was working in fabrication at Palatadka in Mardhala. On Monday, while returning home on his bike after work, a KSRTC bus heading towards Subrahmanya overtook an Omni car near Halestation and collided head-on with Bishwajith’s bike. He succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the Kadaba hospital.

The Omni car was also damaged in the incident. The deceased is survived by his mother, a brother, and a sister.

Kadaba police visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and have registered a case.
