Mangaluru: Bike rider killed after being hit by unidentified vehicle near Ullal

Mangaluru, May 24: A bike rider died tragically after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Durgamba Garage, in front of Adhithri Hotel, on NH-66 late night on Friday May 23.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Gatti (53), a resident of Pilaru Ambisadi in Someshwara village. He was working as an electrician by profession.

The incident occurred while Manoj was on his way to attend the final day celebrations of the Bandi Utsava at Kotekar Kondaana Kshetra. An unidentified vehicle reportedly hit his two-wheeler, throwing him onto the road. He sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte, where he succumbed despite treatment efforts.

He is survived by his brother, sister, wife, and a son.
