Mumbai, May 10: As tensions escalated along the India-Pakistan border following a major counter-drone operation by the Indian Army, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express solidarity with the armed forces and extend prayers for the safety of citizens affected by the developments.

According to sources, over 50 Pakistani drones were intercepted and neutralized by the Indian Army during a large-scale operation across the Line of Control and International Borders, including regions in Jammu and Pathankot. The drones were reportedly part of a failed swarm intrusion attempt by Pakistan.

Actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut posted a video on Instagram, highlighting the Indian Army’s swift action. Captioning the clip, she wrote, "Jammu On Target! Indian Air Defence Neutralises Pakistan Drone in #Jammu. Stay strong #jammu."

Comedian and actor Vir Das offered heartfelt support to those living through the blackout caused by the attempted drone incursions. On X, he wrote, "To family, friends and more who sit in blackouts as we speak, thinking of you, praying for you. To those protecting them, we thank you. Gratitude, prayers and respect. Be safe, be strong."

Actor Varun Konidela, hailing from the South Indian film industry, praised the armed forces on Instagram, writing, "More power to our brave Indian Army defending against the attacks of the perpetrators with unwavering valour. We stand united in support and pray for your safety. Jai Hind."

Actress Shraddha Kapoor also expressed her admiration for the Indian Army through a simple yet heartfelt message on Instagram: "Proud of our protectors. Jai Hind."

Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a personal video from his cousin’s home in Jammu, showing a complete power blackout. In his emotional post, he quoted his cousin: “Bhaiya! Hum Bharat mein hain! Hum Hindustani hain. Hamari suraksha Bharatiya Sena aur Mata Vaishno Devi kar rahi hain.” Kher added "Jai Mata Ki! Bharat Mata Ki Jai!"

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar urged solidarity, writing on social media, "It's going to be a long night ahead. Let's stand united with our Armed Forces; may their strength and courage prevail. #SupportOurTroops #StayUnited #IndianArmy #OperationSindoor2."

Meanwhile, poet and public figure Kumar Vishwas called on Indian news channels and broadcasters to act with restraint and responsibility. Urging them to avoid sharing unverified or potentially damaging content, Vishwas emphasized the importance of national unity in sensitive times.

In a video message, he commended the Indian Army’s targeted operations against terrorist camps and said, “Before airing any news, always consider its national impact. Will it help the country or could it be misused by others? Let’s stay united and responsible.”

As the nation remains on high alert, public figures continue to use their platforms to foster unity, support the armed forces, and encourage citizens to act with maturity and patriotism.
