CM to launch multiple development projects in Ullal on May 16: Speaker U T Khader

Mangaluru, May 10: Karnataka Chief Minister is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several key development projects in Ullal taluk on May 16, said assembly speaker U T Khader.

He was speaking at a preparatory meeting held with officials at the zilla panchayat auditorium on Friday. “Several important public utility development works have been initiated in Ullal taluk,” he stated.

The projects that will be flagged off by the chief minister include the Harekala Nethravathi bridge, the riverfront parallel road, the Kotepura–Bolar bridge, and the Sajip–Thumbay bridge.

In addition, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Ullal fire station, RTO track, Ullal fishing jetty, and underground power cable installation within Ullal City Municipal limits.

Foundation stones will also be laid for the Abbakka Bhavan and Beary Bhavan, while new buildings of Maulana Azad model schools will be inaugurated at Manjanady Boliyar and Farangipet.

The agriculture department’s fertilizer testing lab building will also be inaugurated.

“All foundation stone-laying and inaugural ceremonies will be held at a single venue — Unity Hall Grounds, Kallapu, on the evening of May 16,” the speaker informed. The Chief Minister and several senior ministers are expected to attend the event.

U T Khader instructed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the event and ensure all necessary facilities are provided for the public attending the programme.

Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan M P, zilla panchayat CEO Dr Anand K, and police commissioner Anupam Agarwal were present at the meeting.
