Mangaluru, May 8: In a solemn and joyful ceremony at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, the holy spirit congregation (Opus Spiritus Sancti - OSS) witnessed a deeply spiritual moment on May 7, as two sisters made their first dedication (temporary profession) and seven others committed to their final dedication (perpetual profession).

Sr Malshila and Sr Jaya Thomas took their first dedication, while Sr Anita, Sr Gracy, Sr Kavita, Sr Savita, Sr Sunita Rani, Sr Subhashini, and Sr Sheela made their final dedication—marking a significant step in their lives of service and faith.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Daniel Veigas, episcopal vicar for religious of Mangaluru, and concelebrated by Fr Dominic, parish priest of Infant Mary Church, along with Fr Cyril and Fr Vincent, MSFS.

Sr Arogya Mary, the regional superior, together with formator Sr Olga Noronha (SIW), received the dedications and formally welcomed the sisters into the OSS congregation, calling it a “moment of grace, joy, and dedication.”

Following the service, a felicitation ceremony was held in the church hall. The newly dedicated sisters were honoured in the presence of well-wishers and members of the congregation. The day concluded with a fellowship meal, marking a heartfelt celebration of unity, gratitude, and spiritual commitment.

    Congratulations to all sisters on this occasion.One would hardly recognise them on other occasion as religious sisters.Because of their different sarees than other sisters.May God bless you all to remain in your profession for long time and heath too to serve God
