Moodbidri, Mar 12: A 57-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly subjecting a minor girl to repeated sexual assault in Pranthya village near Ladi, Moodbidri.
The accused, identified as Prakash, a resident of Ajankallu, has been booked under the POCSO Act.
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s parents, the accused had been visiting the rented house where the girl resides near his home whenever her family members were away. He allegedly committed the crime repeatedly over the past year.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
