Bahrain: Basava Samithi to host Kalyana Vaibhava cultural event on May 10

Bahrain, May 9: Basava Samithi that has been active in Bahrain island for the last one and a half decades will be hosting the annual Basava Jayanti celebrations this year too with pomp and gaiety as per the customary norm of the organisation.

The event will be held under the title of Kalyana Vaibhava with the participation of artistes and achievers of the island and of the hometown at New Seasons auditorium, Adhari Park here at 5.30 pm on May 10.

Ambassador of India, H.E. Vinod K Jacob will be present as the chief guest. Captain Navin Nagappa who fought in the Kargil war and one who was decorated with Paramveer Chakra will specially arrive at the island and take part in the event.

Winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 17 of Zee Kannada TV and well-known singer Srinidhi Shastri and popular Veena player Dr Suchetana Rangaswamy will showcase their talents. Skits and dances will be performed by the artistes of Basava Samithi. The artistes have already arrived in the island and entry for all the Kannadigas to attend the event will be free.
