Mangaluru, April 18: Kiran, an artist who sketched Prime Minister Modi's portrait and handed it over to the PM himself during the roadshow, received a phone call and a letter of appreciation from the prime minister's office on Wednesday, April 17.

Kiran, a resident of Thokkottu drew a portrait of Prime Minister Modi and exhibited it during the PM's recent roadshow in Mangaluru.

Modi who saw it, got the picture brought to him through a SPG commando and congratulated the artist during the roadshow.

Kiran also got a telephone call from the prime minister's office on Wednesday, April 17 appreciating his work. He also received a letter of appreciation from the prime minister via e-mail a little later.

The letter states that the sketch prepared using Kiran's skills, reflects the essence of the strength of the youth. “We are striving to build a growth oriented India and strengthen a promising tomorrow for the youth. This lovely gesture gives me additioal strength and enthusiasm to serve the country and the people. We will be celebrating the centenary of our Independence in 2047. The enthusiasm of the youth gives me confidence that the future of our country will be developed and in able hands. Continue to provide work to your positive skills, Congratulations,” states the letter.

Kiran is ecstatic over the telephone call and letter of appreciation that he got from the prime minister's office.

Its one of the way to market tallents and self. No harm. It works for both sides, thats the reason, it is in news report. PMO may have got crores of letters from school kids to aged from Manipur and other part of states like Kashmir, to seeking desperate help. You wont get them in new report or media. It does not help Modi brand.

Although he is a good Artist, he cannot earn his living with this. So, issuing a letter is of no use/value. Better he gets employment for his creativity. Letter will not turnaround votes. This is all time pass and forget sceen.
