Mangaluru: One arrested for stabbing salon owner

Mangaluru, Apr 15: The city's south police arrested the accused who stabbed a salon owner at Bolar on Saturday.

Ananda Sapalya (49), a native of Barimaru in Bantwal currently residing at Bolar, was apprehended by the police.

The victim of the incident is Edwin Vinay Kumar (65), originally from Kerala and residing at Bolar. Ananda Sapalya used to frequent Edwin's salon and speak in a foul language. On Saturday, in an inebriated state, Ananda entered the salon and engaged in an argument with Edwin.

Subsequently, Ananda returned to his house next to the salon, retrieved a knife, and stabbed Edwin in the chest. Edwin is recovering in the hospital and is reportedly out of danger, according to police sources.

A case of attempt to murder is registered against Ananda.

    These drunkers are not allowing normal people to let live ,and always in need of money without working.Now take the same knife and revert it on his chest and ask how he feels.Throw him for life long in jail till his works normal.Doesnt he have a family?
