Dakshina Kannada, Udupi to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr on Apr 10

Mangaluru, Apr 9: One of the most auspicious festivals for Muslims, Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims across the globe. It marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Al Haj Twaqa Ahmad Musliyar, district Qazi of Dakshina Kannada, has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday April 10 in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, in view of the moon sighting in Ponnani, Kerala on Tuesday April 9.

The joint Khazi of Udupi, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru districts Al Haj Abdul Hameed Musliar, has called on to celebrate Eid on April 10.
