Brahmavar, Apr 9: Liquor worth lacs of rupees, intended for defence personnel through the Canteen Services Department (CSD), was discovered in the residence of a BJP Yuva Morcha leader during a raid by the excise police of Udupi on the night of April 8. The confiscated liquor led to the arrest of the leader.

Acting on a specific tip-off, excise officials conducted the raid under the guidance of the excise joint commissioner of Mangaluru division and the excise deputy commissioner of Udupi at the residence of Ramesh Prabhu in Indiranagar, Brahmavar, falling under the Udupi legislative constituency. It's reported that Ramesh Prabhu's son holds a leadership position in the BJP Yuva Morcha of Udupi district.

A total of 33.5 litres of liquor, valued at Rs 1.55 lac, was seized during the raid, leading to the arrest of Ramesh Prabhu. Deputy excise inspector Madhura N Das of Udupi registered a case in connection with the incident and is proceeding with further actions.

CSD liquor in BJP Yuva Morcha leader’s house? Th is to defame Modiji. The raid is part of anti-national exercise. This liquor was meant for a Modiji welcome party. Even PM welcome party has no right to have some privacy? More liquor , more votes. This is namma Bharatha.
