Mangaluru, Apr 9: The court has proven the accusations against the accused in two separate murders that occurred in Ullal and Melkar due to communal animosity. The sentencing will be announced on April 16.

In the first case, Mohammed Mustafa and Mohammed Nasir were traveling from Melkar to Mudipu in an auto-rickshaw on August 6, 2015 when they were attacked with swords by accused Vijeth Kumar (22), Kiran (24), Aneesh alias Dhanu (23), and Abhi alias Abhijit (24). Both Mustafa and Nasir sustained serious injuries, and Nasir later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The investigation conducted by Inspector K U Belliappa led to the submission of a chargesheet to the court. Justice Mallikarjun of the first additional district and sessions court found the accused guilty, with the sentencing scheduled for April 16. Public prosecutor Judith Olga Margaret Crasta handled the prosecution.

In the second case, on the morning of April 12, Rajesh Kotian alias Raja (44) was attacked by accused Mohammed Asif alias Achi (23), Mohammed Suhail alias Suhail (20), Abdul Mutalip alias Muthu (20), Abdul Asweer alias Acchu (19), and two juvenile offenders, while he was going fishing alone on Kotepura road. Rajesh was killed as a result of the attack. This incident arose from frequent quarrels between youths of Muslim and Hindu communities in Mogaveerapatna.

I hope the law takes his course without bias and severe punishment is meted out to both gangs. They can save themselves from all punishment if they say "Savarkar ki Jai" and join the famous underworld party RSS-BJP nexus. They can easily hold major development portfolio to fill the coffers of the rich.

Who will come to save and protect these murderers now? Who is paying their advocate bills? Who will give them food in the jail? Which section of educated doctor/ engineer some of who are big fans ofJ. Sai deepak's view of supporting hindutva foot soldiers will come ahead now? When u are fooled into bigotry and are tempted to murder thinking some leader will come to support like in past riots, remember if God wishes to give u the punishment in this world, then only u and ur parents will suffer.
