Mangaluru, Apr 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Mangaluru on April 14, said BJP general secretary and MLA V Sunil Kumar.

Addressing news persons on Monday, April 8 at BJP office, he said, "PM Modi will be present at Gold Finch City premises on April 14 following which he will undertake a road show in Bengaluru. While the first phase of electioneering was kicked off by Home Minister Amit Shah, the prime minister will be paying a visit to the district during the second phase."

Sunil Kumar said, "The party is going to seek votes for Modi's third term on platform of a secure India, traditional India and developing India. Narendra Modi's visit will create enthusiasm among all party workers."

He said the party has decided to go on a door-to-door campaign to explain the importance of BJP's victory and the benefits if Narendra Modi becomes prime minister for the third time.

He said, "Today the world agrees with the progress that India has achieved from toilets to airports besides the success of Chandrayaan mission. We have gradually grown but made significant strides in the last decade. We will seek votes for the BJP on the basis of our track record besides holding other awareness programmes. The Congress is entertaining the naxals who were completely wiped out during our tenure and now Congress is back to its old game. A number of civilians and policemen has lost their lives due to naxal attacks and now such fringe elements are becoming active once again in Dakshina Kannada and Malnad regions. The government should understand the problem and take necessary steps."
