Bengaluru, Mar 21: The protests held regarding the incident that happened at Nagartha Pete, Bengaluru has backfired for BJP. Another FIR has been registered against union minister for state Shobha Karandlaje over her hateful speech.

Bengaluru election officials have registered an FIR at Bengaluru Cottonpet police station on Thursday, March 21 as per directions from Election Commission of India under RP Act section 123(3A), 125 and 123(3) against minister and MP Shobha Karandlaje.

The Karnataka election commission has shared the information by means of a tweet.

An FIR was registered against her in Tamil Nadu also. Shobha Karandlaje had chastised residents of Tamil Nadu during the protests against Muslim youngsters held by BJP and Sangh Parivar regarding the loudspeaker incident that transpired at Bengaluru Nagartha Pete recently.

Shobha had said Tamil Nadu residents are keeping Bombs in Bengaluru cafes. Tamil Nadu police had registered an FIR against her at Madurai against the statement on Wednesday.

Shobha, while speaking to news reporters referred to the incident at Bengaluru Rameshwaram Café, had said that people from Tamil Nadu are obtaining training there and are keeping bombs in Bengaluru. She had claimed that a Tamil Nadu resident had kept the bomb in the café. The statement had created a controversy. An FIR against her was registered at Madurai under section 153, 153A, 505 (1)(b) 505(2) in this connection.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin had strongly condemned the statement by Shobha as irresponsible. “The statement is made to create a rift between Tamil Nadu residents and Kannadigas. The election commission should take suitable action against her for trying to disrupt peace, harmony and national integrity,” he had urged.

DMK also had submitted a complaint to the election commission. She had apologized to Tamil Nadu residents regarding her statement.
