Belagavi, Mar 4: Women and Child Welfare Minister, Lakshmi R, expressed deep concern and condemned the recent acid attack on three college students in Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada district. Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, having gathered comprehensive information on the incident, described the attack as a heinous act and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation.
"The acid attack on these college students in Kadaba is extremely cruel. I have been briefed by the authorities, and the police have already taken the attacker into custody for interrogation. The motive behind this act will be revealed in the investigation," stated Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar.
The minister commended the prompt action taken by the police, who have already apprehended the attacker and initiated interrogation to ascertain the motive behind the assault. "Officials from the Women and Child Development Department in Dakshina Kannada district have already received information about the incident. The State Women's Commission has taken swift action. The guilty must be severely punished," stated Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar.

The acid attack occurred on Monday at the Government Pre-Graduate College in Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada district, where a young man targeted a female student. Two other students, who were in close proximity, also suffered minor injuries from the acid. The accused has been detained, and ongoing interrogations aim to unveil the motives behind this reprehensible act.
