Life becomes miserable after acid attack. So acid attacks should be prevented. If there is a threat of acid attack and you complain to the police, they will say - the offence comes under the first part of Section 506 of IPC, it is non-cognizable, bailable, and compoundable by the person who was intimidated, So nothing is done to PREVENT an attack. Law has to change.
