I am very happy and excited to read that three Konkani stalwarts have been selected to receive the Kalakar award. Not only I know all three of them very closely, but I had grown up seeing the dramas of Francis bab, now a great friend, due to our association in daijidubai. He is a born actor, comedian. The superlative Comedy King aptly suits him. Its sad he lives a lonely wife, after losing his devoted wife, Louisebai whom we loved dearly. Another stalwart singer whom i enjoyed listening for many years in Wify Nites was Prem who is a dear friend. You give him any song and any attire he is ready to make you happy. I am happy to observe that finally the Konkani community has recognized his contribution. He is not only a singer but a celebrated writer, whose serial novels appeared in Sevak long many years ago, including 'Kantyani Vinlele Fante' I am happy to say, Fr Ronald hails from my Kinnigoli-Kirem-Balkunje vicinity and a great follower of Jesus Christ and a thorough spiritual leader besides being a writer. Late Richie Pais used to talk high about him, as he also guided him in his drama - 'job patriarkachi Kotha' Congrats all three, May the Lord keep you happy and healthy.
