Mangaluru, Jun 8: A young girl wrote a 24-page long death note and killed herself within three days of buying a newly constructed house at Chitranjalinagar near Kumpala on the outskirts of the city in wee hours of Thursday June 8.

Ashwini Bangera (25), originally from Farangipete, now living at Chitranjalinagar is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy.

It is said that Ashwini chatted on her mobile phone with her friend on Wednesday night. When her friend arrived on Thursday morning and the door was broken, Ashwini was found hanging to the fan by a saree.

Ashwini has mentioned in her death note that she was cheated by the seller of the house and the bank officials are pestering her now.

It is said that Ashwini belonged to a middle-class family. She was employed abroad and had come to her native place a-month-and-half ago. She had purchased a newly constructed house from Sangeeta.

The house warming ceremony was held on June 5 and Ashwini was living with her mother and two sons of her maternal aunt. She has requested in her death note that the Iphone which she was using should be handed over to her boyfriend.

Police suspect that Ashwini, who got entangled in many difficulties killed herself. Her mortal remains were taken to hospital by Ullal police for post mortem.

People, Working in gulf countries is very stressful to say the least....most don't have job security....if you loose job, automatically you loose your residency and forced to leave the country....So employees are fearful of their employers / Sponsors.... This sponsorship is beneficial to employers / natives of these countries....We don't know how she was cheated by house seller....But as many suggested asking legal opinion before buying property in India is best thing to do...even it may cost some money...So people please don't pass 'mean spirited' comments without knowing her situation...Nobody commits suicide for fun....RIP Ashwini...Tak...Takk...

I am reading the comments and suddenly 2014 elections and 15 Lakh invocation is absent. With Congress in power in Vidhan Soudha, anti-Hindu agenda is on the back burner? Yes, I also concur with the age factor and financial burden so early does not match. It did not match before nor does it match now. Anyway, lesson is get the finer details of finance details right. If you are not capable, take advise from elders who have seen life full size. Sad that her well intentions are left behind to fend for themselves.

It is sad to note that she is no more. But others can learn from it. buying a house at the age of 25 is not a good option if ones financial position is not good. Banks work for their profit and known as well as unknown charges accumulated to your account.

Some of the subscribers are posting the comments in very in-sensitive manner like "Pinto, Mangalore" pointed at her as andh-bhakin each and everything they want politics, if some one from his family commit suicide whether he will comment in same manner? Atleast have some sympathy towards the departed soul.

How come without checking through lawyer she made the payment? How she got the property registered? Without proper documentation they don't register no? May be mutual understanding Don't trust anyone even siblings Her blood curse will be on the lady who sold When this lady gets terrible sickness she must remember her cheating act. That time nobody will help her she has to undergo consequences Book of sirac tells us some are sick because of their sins. Same book tells wages of sin is death.

In property deals hire a good solicitor , to know exact details including ownership, encumbrance etc. Instead of "Agreement to sell " directly go for a "Sale deed" .Take / pay money by demand draft drawn on a local PSU bank. Get the Sale Deed registered at the subregistrar office at the same time the dd has to be given/ taken.Ek Haat Se l Lena Ek Haat Se Dena. All transactions in white ( Incometax department has lot of data ,even in small towns).

When dealing in Real Estate or acquiring a house, one must take the help of a legal expert and Architects opinion, because they have thorough knowledge of scrutinizing the documents. losing hard earned money is not worth the investment.

You are very right Reshmi and let me add something more, the cheating is so high that even with utmost care, you can still get duped. I too invested in a property in Bangalore about 25 years ago and since I was living in Bombay, I asked my brother to go and check the property, only to find, same plot was sold to multiple buyers!
