Mangaluru: Motorcycle rider seriously injured in hit-and-run accident

Mangaluru, Jun 5: A car hit a motorcycle and escaped from the spot, late night on Sunday June 4 near Sankolige on NH 66. The motorcycle rider was seriously injured in the collision. The Innova car bearing Kerala registration number has been identified through the CCTV footage.

Tejas Rama Kulal (28), a resident of Kotekar Vaidyanatha temple road, suffered grievous injuries in the accident. When he was going towards his house, a car that was going towards Kerala, hit his motorcycle and escaped from the spot.

A seriously injured Tejas was admitted to Deralakatte hospital. South traffic police of the city have registered a case in this connection. When the CCTV at Talapady toll gate was checked, it came to light that the car was from Kerala.
