Kundapur: One rupee for 10 km – Auto-rickshaw driver celebrates nine years of Modi govt

Kundapur, May 27: Satish Prabhu, an auto rickshaw driver in the city is offering rides for passengers in his vehicle at just Rs one for 10 km for 10 days on the occasion of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi celebrating his 10th year as PM of India.

The special offer is available to passengers from May 26 to June 4. Prabhu had offered a ride for just one rupee for a day when Modi completed a year as PM. In the second year, the offer was for two days. This continued till the ninth year. This year, as Modi is stepping into the 10th year as PM of India, he is offering a ride at just one rupee for 10 km.

Satish Prabhu’s auto is named as NAMO after PM Modi. He has kept a box in the vehicle for passengers to drop one rupee coin after the ride. In addition, he also carries a Modi banner on the backside of the vehicle.
