Bantwal: Train hits 28-year-old crossing track, killed on spot

Bantwal, Mar 18: A youth, who was crossing the railway tracks died as he was hit by an oncoming train at Netla near Kalladka.

The deceased is identified as Arjun (28), a resident of Manimajalu near Netla.

The locals residing at Manimajalu need to cross the railway tracks to reach their homes. An overbridge for the same purpose is already built. However, sometimes, locals cross the tracks taking risks.

It is said that the youth might not be aware of the oncoming train and got hit by it.

A case is registered at Mangaluru railway police station.
