Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 9: A first-of-its-kind Konkani musical project will be held by Vision Konkani, in association with Daijiworld Media. Public can contribute lyrics to this project and it will comprise music direction and tune composition. The competition will conclude with a grand musical nite and visualization of newly produced songs.

According to the project rules, lyrics that are selected from the entries received, will be handed over to music directors for tune and music composition. As soon as the songs are ready, a musical nite rendering the songs will be held. Based on the theme and requirement, the production house will visualize the songs. The lyrics sent by the aspirants that are not selected for tune and composition will be kept at a ‘lyrics bank’. As and when the music directors and producers feel the need, they can get the same.

The music composers will also receive an honorarium of Rs 10,000 for each song in the second phase of the competition. In the third phase of the competition, the selection process of the singers will be held based on the mood of songs. The singers will also receive an honorarium amount which will be on par with the best in the industry.

Vision Konkani is the brain child of NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael D’Souza, an ardent lover of the Konkani language. He promotes talents in Konkani language, especially in the field of art and literature.

The rules of the competition are as follows:

*Lyrics sent only in Konkani language are accepted

*Lyrics for solo or duet can be sent by the participants (Male-female/male-male/female-female)

*There is no restriction on the number of lyrics that can be sent by a writer

*Based on subjects judges will select the lyrics

*The lyrics should be acceptable for the music competition

*Selected 25 lyrics will get honorarium of Rs 5000 each

*Last date for submission of lyrics is April 15, 2023

*The rights of selected lyrics will be with Daijiworld Media Private Limited
