Kasargod, Mar 7: Police in Nileshwar Kotappura have arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of Ramesh, a laborer from Tamil Nadu who was found dead at his residence on March 4.

The accused, identified as KP Baiju, Muhammad Faizal, and Daniel Benni, were among 11 people living in a rented house where Ramesh and his colleagues were staying while working on the Koteppura-Kadinhamule bridge construction project.

The police conducted an investigation following the discovery of Ramesh's body and found that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

The accused allegedly demanded money from Ramesh, leading to his murder.

The police have seized the iron rod used in the killing and noted that Baiju has more than 14 cases against him in Ernakulam district.
