Sullia, Mar 7: Wild elephants destroyed crops in Ainekidu village of Subrahmanya on the night of Sunday.

The farms belonging to Jayaprakash Koojugoodu and Somasundara Koojugoodu were severely damaged, with numerous coconut, arecanut, and plantain trees uprooted.

This incident follows another destructive event just two days ago, when wild elephants caused havoc in the Kollamogru area, creating fear among locals.

On Monday evening, locals spotted a wild tusker drinking water from a trench near the Harihara Kollamogru road. After quenching its thirst, the tusker returned to the forest.
