Sullia, Mar 7: A labourer died when a wall collapsed on him during the demolition of the old government hospital building in Bellare on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunatha (23). The old structure was being demolished to make way for a new building for the Bellare government hospital. While demolishing one of the walls after lunch, it collapsed and fell on Manjunatha. Although other labourers quickly removed the rubbles on top of him and rushed him to the hospital in Sullia, he died on the way.
