Udupi, Feb 8: The launch of “Lords International Residential School” was held here today.

Addressing a press conference at the Madhava Krishna auditorium of Kediyoor Hotels, Professor M D Nanjunda, executive director said, “Our chairman Bhuvanendra Kediyoor had a dream of establishing a school with a unique teaching experience which has come true with the launching of ‘Lords International Residential School’. Our school aims to provide a Gurukula model of education. People go to gurukula to learn. In Lords both students and teachers follow the same routine. As per the modern requirement arrangements have also been made possible to integrate technology to education. Providing quality education is our motto. Skill development will be given prime importance in our education."















Academic year will begin from June 1, 2023. Admissions for classes 5,6 and 7 have already begun.

Speaking about the new venture, Bhuvanendra Kidiyoor, chairman, Kediyoor Educational Trust said, “Today it is the introductory session of our school and we have presented before you the works which will be carried out by our school. We have selected qualified staff. We aim at providing good quality education."

Yuvraj Salian, vice-chairman, Mallika Yuvaraj, joint secretary Professor Samuel Daniel, director – academics, Hirianna Sherigar, director – administration Yogishchandra, engineer and others were present on the occasion.

About the promoters

Kediyoor Educational Trust headed by Bhuvanendra Kediyoor, with a vast experience in the hotel and tourism industry has successfully completed 36 years in Hotel Kediyoor Private Limited and is a well-known personality of the city. He is now venturing into setting up a high class residential school. He will be backed by Heera B Kediyoor, secretary, Yuvaraj Salian, vice-chairman, Mallika Yuvaraj, joint secretary, Dr Brijesh B Kediyoor, Dr Abhin Devdas Shriyan, members of the trust and Dr Bhavyashree B Kediyoor, treasurer of the Trust.

Along with the trust members, educationalist Prof M D Nanjunda, will be the executive director, Prof Samuel Daniel, director - academics, Hirianna Sherigar, director - administration, are experts in the education field for decades.

ICSE curriculum, holistic development of students

Kediyoor’s Lords International Residential School is set to be affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi and will be following ICSE curriculum adhering to the National Education Policy 2020. English will be the medium of instruction and first language. Students can also choose Kannada, Hindi, French, Sanskrit as second or third languages and Mathematics, History and Civics, Geography Physics, Chemistry, Biology as core subjects; and Computer Application, Art, Physical Education, EVS, and Commerce as electives.

Well experienced teaching faculty headed by the Principal P N Ashok with years of experience in the educational field will be shaping the students’ future. Coaching for competitive examinations such as KVPY, NTSE, CPT, CA, NEET, JEE, NDA, CLAT, TOEFL and IELTS will also be provided from a very early stage to the students.

State-of-the-art hostel facility

Admissions

The admission process for the academic year 2023-24 is under progress. Kediyoor Lords International Residential School is all set to welcome students from class 5 to class 7. Each class will have 30 students.
