Mangaluru: St Aloysius PU College’s Ashna Rai receives best cadet award from PM Modi

Mangaluru, Jan 30: Ashna Rai, a cadet of the NCC navy wing of St Aloysius PU College, who participated in the annual NCC rally that was held at New Delhi on Saturday, received All India best cadet award (gold medal) from Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.

Ashna Rai is pursuing her second PU. From childhood, she was interested in joining the NCC. When she was studying in eighth standard at Canara CBSE School, she joined the NCC. Later, she continued in the same field.

Ashna was selected for the NCC rally after performing exceedingly well in district and state level. The cooperation extended by NCC cadets Anish Rahul, Atique D B, Roopith D’Souza and Manish along with the guidance of wing commander Chandan Garg and Allwyn Misquith is responsible for this achievement of Ashna in the NCC Rally.

Ashna is the daughter of Kadri Kambla resident entrepreneur Ramanna Rai and teacher Akshatha Rai.

    Jossey Bhai can you elaborate...like how is this publicity???. You mean to say that Ashna Rai has to herself go to the dias and collect the award and take a selfie. I don't how there is a Publicity stunt in NCC. You hate Modi it's ok bit atleast you could appreciate the girl's efforts on getting the Best Cadet. Kudos to you Ashna Rai... Keep up the Good Work.     Now, this is called achievement. Cadets getting in to the RD parade on general category itself is a achievement . But here we have someone selected as best cadet to represent the Karnataka contingent. And then being adjudged as the best cadet amongst all India best cadets is a remarkable feat.
